And MaestroUGC is right, people need to send (or post) their games here more for TWC Approval!!!  I understand that we can trust certain Players to balance it themselves, but it wouldn't hurt to have others' feedback!

I don't really see a problem with people making threads about their games. All the important threads are stickied anyway, so it doesn't really matter what other threads are made in the board, right?

If we accept the idea of having a separate thread for a game idea or balancing, I would prefer having only one thread than to have various topics.  Although stickies organise active threads, I don't want the board to be cluttered by random other threads.  It's rather peevish of me though, so if a good deal of TWGers here would prefer to have it that way, we could go through with it, but I would still rather prefer that games be posted here or in a single Game Balancing Thread.

I like the idea of a balancing thread, not only do perspective games get fixed, we can also see how many people would be into a specific game.  I think a thread specifically for new players to petition to be hosts might also be a good idea.

I don't imagine a lot of people would make "help me balance this" threads anyway. Most people like to keep their games under wraps until host sign-ups.

The way you talk about things though, you make it sound like the only people who are allowed to make threads are hosts and the TWC. Does that mean I can't make a thread here for people to discuss whether masons are good or bad? Can I not make a poll thread about whether people prefer to be humans or wolves? And if I can make these threads, what's wrong with a thread or two about a game idea once in a while?

Also, I think this board has too many stickies anyway! :beezo:

We never really felt it necessary to make topics like that as of yet.  I've felt that if we ever needed one, it would be because of a discussion occurring in this thread that may warrant a topic to be better organised, but it's yet to happen.  But again, if people really agree with such ideas, I can't really say anything against them!

I feel like it may be helpful to some if we had ONE balancing thread.

Here's why: Players who are somewhat new at this decide to host, and are told their games are not balanced and they should go fix it. That's all good, but they have no idea what a balanced game even is or how to go about solving the problem. Idk if we need a new thread or not, but it may help some people? I'm not sure.

For starters, have I realy balanced the role of Freddy Kruger so that he can win easier.

If it's supposed to be hard for him to win, I'd say he's fine where he is. If he's supposed to have an equal chance of winning as the other teams, I'd almost give him some sort of immunity or other power. But, I've only played two games, so I would leave that up to other people to decide.

My point was really that, if topics about things like that are allowed, why would a topic about a game idea be disallowed?

I guess a balance thread would be a good idea (and maybe moderators can edit APPROVED into posts that get approved). Why not just combine it with the Hosting Guide sticky?

Also good call on removing the TWC topic.
