Welcome to my collection of piano arrangements! As you can probably tell, my favourite series to arrange from is the Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons series, but I do arrangements from other games as well.

Hey, welcome to NinSheetMusic! Let me be the first to say "well done!" on your first sheet. You clearly have the basic formatting and engraving aspect down. The only recommendations I have would be to move the "mf" up a little so it's not colliding with the notes. Also, maybe move the copyright info and arranger/composer names down a bit. A haven't compared it to the original yet, but you seem to have a wonderful start! Can't wait to see more : )

Also, since you seem to have a good understanding of the guidelines, don't hesitate to submit this one (You can do this by going to the NSM Panel tab).

Wow this does look very neat ^^ good job! I don't have time now, but will come back sometime next week to take a closer look if I get the chance...

Thanks to both of you for the feedback! I've moved the elements you suggested, Sebastian.

Although this is my first piano arrangement I have done a fair bit of arranging for various ensembles, including an orchestration course with a prof who was very strict about notation and engraving. The music on this site has been very helpful to me through the years so I'm happy to contribute if I can!

EDIT: Just wanted to add recordings of the first two songs I arranged so here they are!

Awesome! Yeah, arranging orchestrations and ensembles is much more complex than arranging for piano, so I definitely see where you got your skill. : )

Two new arrangements from two new games, including my first non-Harvest Moon arrangement! (Though it's not far off...)

Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town - Summer
[MUSX] [MUS] [PDF] [MIDI]

Like most of this soundtrack, this is actually a song from an earlier game in the series (Harvest Moon: Back to Nature) but it's been re-arranged for the GBA's sound capabilities. For that reason, I credited both the original composer and the composer/sound designer from Friends of Mineral Town since I'm guessing they were the one to do this arrangement. (Let me know if that was the right thing to do!) This one might be a little tricky to play because of the repeated accompaniment in the B section... I'm open to suggestions on that!

Stardew Valley - Piano Solo (Elliott's Theme)
[MUSX] [MUS] [PDF] [MIDI]

I was pretty surprised there weren't any Stardew Valley sheets on-site so this is my first contribution to that! I tried to keep it as faithful to the original as possible so let me know if there are any added or missing notes. Also, I would love some feedback from a piano player on some of the stylistic things in there (grace notes, pedal markings, etc.) and whether I notated those correctly. Are there any places I should add slurs?

Feedback is welcome!

And another new series!

Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite! - Acorn Shrine
[MUSX] [MUS] [PDF] [MIDI]

This one was pretty straightforward, just something simple I did to work on my ear. I didn't have any issues with it but as always, if something is a bit off feel free to point it out!

I just had a look at your Stardew Valley sheet and it looks pretty good, just a few comments from me about things that I noticed.

-The E in the LH of bar 9 is actually an A I think.
-I was going to make a bunch of comments about the spacing of articulations but then I remembered that you're using v26 so that's why they're out of whack.  We can always fix that later if you submit this.
-Personally I'd have the slurs on the graces always above the notes (that way they are oriented correctly for the main note rather than for the small note.)
-You could hide the pedal markings after the first two bars, say, and write 'simile' in the interest of saving space, but up to you.
-The margins a bit wonky: you want to have 0.5 for the top, bottom and right margins and then something a bit larger for the left margin (in the interest of hole-punching etc.).  I usually go with
0.75ish but the exact value isn't exactly important.
-I think it might look a bit nicer if you made more use of the page by going to four systems rather than two.  I tried 2-3-3-2 (with the pickup not counted) and that looked pretty good to me.

Thanks for sharing, it's a nice little piece!

Hey thanks for checking it out! I'll definitely fix those formatting things when I get the chance!

I think I've heard about the v26 articulation spacing before but I'm not familiar enough with Finale to recognize it, is there any way to work around that on my end? I do usually import from an XML and clean it up myself if that makes a difference, maybe something is going wonky in the transition?

Thanks for the feedback, it's helpful as always!! :)

v26 has it's own special articulation placement scheme that corrupts when opened in previous versions of finale.  It's a massive pain to fix manually, but luckily people who have v25 (like myself) can fix it very quickly using the 'remove manual adjustments' which brings all the articulations back to their original positions.  It's not exactly perfect, but I'm more than happy to do it for anyone who submits using v26.  Though since it'll get corrupted every time you make an edit to the file, there's no point me doing it until the very final step of the process.

Bravely Default - Beneath The Hollow Moon
[MUSX] [MUS] [PDF] [MIDI]

I've been playing this game on and off for over a year now and I fell in love with this song when I heard it in a cutscene about a week ago (though I'm not sure if it was the first time I heard it or just the first time I noticed it). It also stood out to me as being potentially simple enough for me to transcribe which I'm pretty proud of because not too long ago this would have seemed like an impossible task. That being said there were still a couple of parts I wasn't too sure on (especially the 8 bars leading up to the repeat) so any corrections are welcome!

Harvest Moon - Winter
[MUSX] [MUS] [PDF] [MIDI]

I'm returning to the roots of my favourite series with this seasonally-inappropriate theme from the original Harvest Moon! It actually shares a lot of similarities with the winter theme from the later Harvest Moon 64, such as the waltz accompaniment and the key (A minor). I decided to leave out the bass voice in the A section because it was very difficult to play, and made it seem particularly cluttered compared to the more sparse B section. If anyone has suggestions on how to incorporate it somehow I'm open to hearing them, but I think it works just fine without it.

Harvest Moon DS - Winter
[MUSX] [MUS] [PDF] [MIDI]

This was actually one of the first arrangements I started, but I've held off on posting it until now because it needs some work still. I'm mostly unsure about the pitches used in the rolled chords, so please feel free to point out if you're hearing something else there! I also wasn't sure how to incorporate the pizzicato strings on the second repeat of the original, so there is currently no difference between the two repetitions according to the sheet. I would love to polish this one up since it's a lot of fun to play, so please feel free to offer feedback! (Oh and sorry to list so many composers - I really did look for more specific soundtrack credits but there weren't any I could find for this game.)

EDIT: New video because the old one got taken down; this is from the "Cute" version of the game but they are essentially the same game, soundtrack included.

Onionleaf

What a sweet piece to arrange, it does look like it's fun to play. :) Just thought I'd drop by to help with a couple of your queries:

• I think it would be worth including the change in accompaniment that occurs in the second repeat. Removing the repeats, adding more measures, copying over the right hand melody and changing the left hand to play staccato quarter notes/chords on each beat should do the trick.
• The bottom note in the first 4 rolled chords sounds like an A. More often than not, chords form a simple triad, so if the chord sounds pretty normal (ie. there's no dissonance) then checking if it contains a root, a 3rd and a 5th of a key is a sure way to spot any missed notes. Also, I believe there should be an A in the rolled chords on bars 10 & 12.

That's all I had for now - good luck with the rest of the polish, I'm sure it will come out splendidly.
