So... I'm new here and since I never found scores for this game (u.u) ... decided to give it a try and arrange one myself! :P Criticism is very much welcome (it's my very first time doing a transcription)

Hey wassap! I'm Arekushisu11. Nice to meet ya!

Oh yeah! Baten Kaitos. I did enjoy it quite a lot even if the battle system consisted of cards play and combinations between those cards, which I think turned out very well.

I think the music is awesome too and you arranged Tears of compassion in quite a respectful way to its original to which you could put a link in your topic so people could compare your arrangement to the original right away as they listen to both of them at the same time....

Here's a link to the original composition:

...That's what I did so far for my first two arrangements... even if I didn't get any responses from anyone about how I should re-arrange or change my arrangements of Wild Guns for the SNES, at least, not for my newer versions but, for my very first post, I am quite grateful to those who helped me.

For your first time, I'm quite surprised it turned out this well, to the ear. Did you have quite a large experience in compositing and arranging music sheets before making the transaction of the partition to the computer? I know I didn't.... but, I'm kinda able to recognize, to the best of my knowledge, if someone has a lot or a little experience in musical arrangements only by listening to his own re-composition.

Too bad I can't open your .MUS file because I have an older version of Finale Notepad and can't seem to be able to find a decent newer version.

I don't know if other more experienced arrangers will reply to your topic (Because I may very well not be the best to criticize your arrangement.) and analyse it in a more professionnal way but, from what I've heard, I'd say you've done pretty well.

Keep up the good Baten Kaitos work!

Hi Arekushisu! Well... to tell u the truth I'm have no experience whatsoever in composing or arranging music u.u. I tried really hard to take this song by ear and transcribe it... took a while... the only reason for that wuz that I luv Sakuraba's music and Baten Kaitos... besides... this wuz the easiest song to transcribe of the entire 2 Baten Kaitos soundtracks that would sound great on piano... u.u

I just wish more experienced people than me could transcribe Sakuraba's music  :(

BTW... I have already learn this song on piano :P I play it almost every day XD  ;D
