In general, if you use an ottava alta above the lower staff, (or an ottava bassa under the upper staff) there's a 90% chance that a better way to write that exists. I'd suggest something like [this].

I don't see a problem with using both staffs, though. It'd look much cleaner like my sheet in my opinion.
