Quote from: Latios212 on February 23, 2016, 01:54:38 PMIt's probably clearer to write those duplets as dotted eighths.

I disagree, I've seen duplet-eighths all over 6/8 time and they always are much easier to read instinctively than dotted eighths.

Latios212

Well, that's just my preference. Either way is valid, but I can name a few on site written using dotted eighths.

I see dotted eighths more often and prefer them. There are a select few cases where I might pick duplets, but here I'd go for the dotted eighths. They'd look clearer to me here.

Either way is all right, though.

Personally, I like using duplets because I can see the '2' and think "Oh, so 2 notes go in the space of 3". I don't think dots represent that as clearly.

I think the chord in m6 is incorrect (the A in the right hand, Layer 2, to be precise); I'm fairly certain the chord is the same from m5-8.

Dotted quarter on 4 in m9 should be an E, not a G.

Layer 1 in the left hand of m12 should be: B (octave up) - G (instead of F) - A - B - A - G (instead of F)

Quite a few chords sound a bit off to me (like in m6); I'm not the best with chords though, so I haven't bothered to check them individually.

I'm certain that there is a chord change in m.6...
M.9 is a whoopsie, though. Fixed.
I'm not too sure about m.12, either, I'm still hearing it as something that implies a B7 chord.

I haven't uploaded the changes yet, just waiting for more input. (I can't hear from my right ear right now, so that might affect things)

I think your m6 is correct, actually.

I'm fairly certain about m12, though.

Also, there needs to be a double barline at the end of m58.
