Being homeschooled, would my mom be able to require it for school and have that count?

I'm homeschooled too. Don't say you're using it for school (unless you want to I guess). When they give you the form, just fill in Hobbyist and Arranger. They won't follow up with anything. Also say Music Student if you're taking lessons.

I think I'll just get my neighbor's '11. $90 cheaper and less work. And I only have one unfinished sheet left. Could someone Fix it for me?

I still have Finale 09' and I still think it is perfectly fine. The newer versions don't really add too much for an average student from what I've seen. The only downside to having an older version is not being able to view MUS files made from 2010-2014 Finale, but that's what PDF and MIDI is for ^^
