How can I change my username?

I went to my profile settings and saw the place that said "name users see you as" or something like that, but it wouldn't let me change it. Do I need a higher post count, or is that feature just disabled on here?

Alternately, you can just delete your account and make a new one (which I did )

I think I will do that. I'll delete my account, make another, and then post about the name change if anyone is looking for me by this alias. Thanks.
