I've been arranging Forest Temple recently. Those who have heard it before will know that a lot of parts fade in and out. I tried to duplicate this with crescendos and decrescendos. But for some reason this silenced out the trebel of bars 9 through 15. Also, all these crescendos and decrescendos are making the sheets ridiculously crowded.

My awkward version: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mzmqq08nui9
What the song is supposed to sound like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=322V5rD6ko4

Is there any way to fix the strange volume problems, while also keeping faithful to the original music AND keeping the sheet clean?

(I feel like I'm starting too many threads asking Finale questions... shouldn't there be a Finale Help sticky? :P)
You should read my post, it's probably above this.

there is but no one cares about it =P. i'll look at it after breakfest. i usually add like alot of random junk in my music too so i might know..

Edit: ok i get it now... yea there's a problem with the piano (atleast for finale notepad). where that it counts it both as one part even though it's 2. so if u make the top half go higher and the bottom half go lower.. then it's going to cancel out... since your writing music for someone to play then this isn't super hard... because they can do the cresendos in their head so u just need to put them where they can see them...

oh and on a side note that it's to heavy... the top part should probaly be a slur (and maybe the bottom part too...). but to me it's just a wierd song that might be hard to do for the piano... but whatever suits yourself..
Conversation on Shoddy Battle:

Before you post you might want to make sure you have a couple of these: ..!!??,,,

Feel free to place them wherever.

JaMaHa and I are working on a Finale FAQ and Tutorial child board as you speak, hopefully it will be up soon. As to answer your question. Like Palagerini said, it treats the piano staff as one part instead of to. Just insert the Crescendos, etc. and leave them as visual. The performer will know what you're talking about.
