How does one format a score imported via XML?

I put this in another thread, but it didn't get answered so I'll post what I originally said, and then paraphrase.
"can someone help me with putting proper NSM standard format on my sheet in Notepad after I imported the XML (skype would be preferable, but PM should be fine)?"
If that's not something Notepad can do. My selector tool isn't working so I'm assuming it's not..

(Also, this is a super basic question, and even after looking at the only other thread I could find I couldn't figure it out: How does one name links?)

From what I've noticed, importing an xml treats every text as an expression. So using the expression tool is necessary to edit text in the sheet in Notepad.

What do you mean by "naming a link?"
