Dropboxes?

Can someone tell me how to use dropboxes to get my stuff onto this site? I've never used dropboxes before and I'm confused...

I have a dropbox, but I'm not sure how to use it.

You should have a dropbox folder on your desktop. Put your files in the public folder, then right click them and click "Copy public link". You'll get a direct hyperlink to the file, which you can share wherever.

Would having a Macbook make a difference? Because I'm still very confused.
