Uh.... Staffs going off the paper?

OK, so when I added an instrument in Finale, the staff went off the page. Is there a way I can decrease the size of the staffs so this doesn't happen?

There should be a resize tool up the top that looks like a percentage (%) sign. It'll resize you page. Or you could lock the amount of measures to a line.

alternatively, you can change the measures per staff system. using the selection tool, click on a measure, ctrl+a to select all the measures, utilities->fit to measure... or ctrl+m to bring up the fit to measures menu, then however many measures you want to fit it to (usually 2 or 4).



if you decide later to have one staff system with more or less measures, click on the measure and press up or down to move it to the previous or next staff system.
