I feel like in m. 24-25 it might be nicer to move the second layer an octave up on top - it would stand out more like it does in the original, get rid of some awkwardly small intervals, and transition into the octaves in m. 26-27 better. (Although admittedly this would cause a large interval in m. 25 beat 4.)
