1. Yes.  Assuming you mean the bass drum line, that means all drums play there in unison.  To put that into your arrangement, highlight the section or notes you want to change with the Staff Tool then press R on your keyboard.

2.  Usually, in drum music each slash through a note means you cut the value of the note in half and play twice as many notes.  For example, one slash over an eighth-note would be played as two 16ths, and two slashes over an eighth-note would be played as four 32nds.  Unfortunately, Finale does not play this back correctly.

3.  I've never seen this one.

4.  I'm not entirely confident on this one either.  One thing I know for sure, is that when we made arrangements for our band (my friend, head of the drumline, took care of the percussion) he made sure to write out what type of "crash" they were supposed to do over a note.

The best advice i could give you, is to contact someone in the drumline that knows what they're doing and ask them.  Also, Finale isn't the best with drums, so concentrate on how it looks over how it sounds.

Iguess you could argue that.  Then again you can ague anything.  I find it to make much more sense to write it that way, and I have never seen it another way in published music.  It's still your arrangement, and by all means do what you want.  It's just my suggestion/taste.

While some notes are off in pitch, the only way to fix that is to keep practicing.  You get a better ear with more experience.  With the arrangement and notation specifically, generally you don't put 2 dotted quarters next to each other in 4/4 time.  You want to make sure the groupings reflect the time signature, so you would first put 1 dotted quarter followed by an eight tied to another quarter.  The same goes for those dotted eights next to each other.  As for those chords, just try and put what you hear (which would most likely be the highest pitch in the chord).  Also, if you have a keyboard available, try to listen to the song and kind of sing it to find which notes are used.  Like I said earlier, it becomes much more natural as you get more practice in.

Great job with these!  The notes seem right on from what I can hear.  The only thing I might suggest is in the notation.  Use different enharmonics, especially in the Mom Theme.  Those Db's on beat 1 are most likely C#'s due to the A's and E's in the base line.  It's probably in A major (You should probably put that in the key signature as well).  The Db's on beat 4 are fine, though, because they are chromatically lowering the 4.  Still, you have an amazing ear!

I put that in 7/8 because there is one less eighth note before going back into the original bass line rhythm.  I know it all fits in the 4/4, but I can't help but get the feeling that the original composers had something else in mind.  There are so many times when I wish I could ask them questions directly.

In the Mt. Moon theme from pkmnRB, it is very difficult for me to figure out where the time is in the second half of the song.  I attempted to get some of the changes near the end.  Could someone take a look and maybe give me some insight? [MUS]

Sorry, that's what I meant.  A chromatic scale can have chromatic half-steps (A - A#,  Bb - B, ect.), so it canhave  two of the same letters in a row.  Diatonic scales (Major, Minor, ect.) cannot use two of the same letters in a row.  They are entirely composed of diatonic half-steps (A# - B, E - F, ect.).

You mean from C# to C##?  Double notes is basically the definition of a chromatic scale.  Otherwise, it'd be diatonic. 

Thanks!  I agree.  It creates much less accidentals.  A few double-sharps should be expected in a song in B Major with B+ being the main chord.
