Gengar, Charizard, and Blaziken. Although I have to say I'm fond of Pidgeot as well. My favorite Legendary would probably be either Jirachi, Celebi, or Darkrai.

Hmm. Didn't know it was official. I have been really busy lately and have not had much time to read up on all the recent E3 news. I've just kind of had to skim through some stuff.

Hmmm....Interesting. It could still be a fake though. I remember a few years ago when there was some very official looking, but still fake, artwork circulating. It had a Link that resembled the Link to the Past design, but with pink hair, alla beta sat.

Still, I'll have to keep my eye on this one. It looks promising. The fairy looks more like some form of Twili. Everybody tried to prove that Midna was related to Majora's Mask when her artwork was initially released. (Although there was some hinting about a connection between Zant and Majora's Mask in some of the in-game dialogue)

Music / Poll: Tanioka VS. Sakimoto
June 13, 2009, 11:56:44 AM
I thought this would be an interesting poll. Everyone always associates Final Fantasy music with Nobuo Uematsu, but there are several other composers who have worked on the series that deserve more recognition than they are given. For those of you who don't know, Kumi Tanioka wrote the soundtracks for the FF: Crystal Chronicles series and the majority of the music for FFXI. Sakimoto wrote the music for the FF: Tactics series and the majority of the music for FFXII.

G-Han presents an interesting point. Back in my NSider days, I wrote an article for the Zelda board in which I discussed upcoming Zelda games. At the time, Twilight Princess was still in development. As I said then, I would like to see the Zelda Team to look at the two N64 games as inspiration. Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask were the two best games in the franchise. Twilight Princess, I would say, is probably the fourth or fifth best. (Behind Link to the Past and Wind Waker)
What G-Han says is true. Zelda Team is starting to look towards gimmicks to make the game appeal to people. They are starting to forget that what makes Zelda great is the Story, the Gameplay, and the sense of adventure that Zelda has inbued in players for over a decade. The cliche'd term is true, "If ain't broke, don't fix it!"

I'm actually going to vote awsome! The ideas that the EAD 3. (AKA Zelda Team) come up with often sound crazy at first, but they always turn out really well! Especially seeing as both Aonuma and Miyamoto are overseeing the project! Despite the fact that Nintendo has taken some odd paths lately, they are still one of the best companies out there!

As for a TP sequel. While that would be really awsome, I would actually much rather see a sequel to Majora's Mask! There was so much left unexplained!

Quote from: SirIngusBingus on April 14, 2009, 03:49:07 PMNobuo should write for a movie sometime. I would go see it no matter what the actual movie was.
He wrote the score for Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and the Theme to the Ah My Goddess Movie (I know it's like WTHECK?!?!?!)

And yes.....I'm quoting old posts......while being a ghost ^___^

I'm a BIIIIG Movie lover! My favorites (at the moment) would have to be...

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
The Last Samurai
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Phantom of the Opera
Saints and Soldiers
The Fugitive
The Bourne Trilogy
Patriot Games
You've Got Mail (Yes, I know that's kind of odd)
Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
My Neighbor Totoro
Castle in the Sky
Kiki's Delivery Service
Pinnochio (The OLD Disney cartoon)
The Lion King
The Original Star Wars Trilogy
The Patriot

And the list goes on and on and on and on. I watch at least one movie a week. Sometimes more......Netflix......

Quote from: SuperFireKirby on April 28, 2009, 02:58:10 PMI've started watching a new series called Kiba that's pretty good. I like it so far. Im not familiar with the terms shojo and shonen but Kiba is an action kind of series.
Shonen anime and manga is manga that is geared towards males ages 12-20. examples would be stuff like Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, Yu-gi-Oh, Ruroni Kenshin, Gundam, Dragonball, etc.

Shojo is anime or manga that is geared towards girls of the same age range. Examples would be stuff like Suzuka, Love Hina, Ah my Godess, Sailor Moon, School Rumble, etc.

Although my genre of choice is Shonen, I don't mind a good Shojo anime every once in a while. I liked Hamtaro.....although it was like kodomo-shojo-ish............

although, I wouldn't classify some of the anime I watch as Shonen......more liked......Primetime Drama, anime style??? sort like House, or CSI in anime form.

I'm waiting on the Engish subs of Nadame Cantabile. I've heard it's REALLY good, and I haven't had a chance to pick up the manga yet.
I don't mind curse words, as long as their not gratuitous. I don't want to watch one where there's an f-bomb every five seconds. As long as the language is kept at a PG-13 level, I'm okay!

Quote from: SuperFireKirby on April 17, 2009, 06:22:49 PMEveryone is gonna be bashing me for this but watch and read Naruto. My favorite Anime. And if you like funny anime, watch Bo-bo-bo Bo Bo-bo-bo. Funniest anime I've ever seen, hands down. You litterally can't watch one episode without laughing until you can't breath. Watch it in english. It's one of the only english dubbs that are actually good.
Why would people bash you for Naruto?!?! Naruto is awsome! I still can't stress enough....somebody go buy a copy of Yuki Urishibara's Mushishi!!!! Her Manga is amazing, and the show is even better!

Quote from: Dude on April 06, 2009, 08:33:28 AMPlease tell me you watched those in Japanese with english subs.
Seriously.
Yes, I do. The only anime that I watch in English is Mushi-Shi, but that's because the Dubs are actually REALLY good!
