Quote from: Latios212 on April 19, 2016, 10:42:10 AMSubmission title fixed. Feedback:
- Tempo marking is not functional - playback is too slow.
- There should be repeat signs - a forward one at the beginning of the second measure and an ending one at the last measure. You could also use a pickup measure.
- It sounds to me like most (if not all) of the places where you have the same note before and after a barline, they should be tied. Ex. the G in measure 2 sounds like it should be tied, not re-struck the next measure. Could be wrong though.
- You have some places where the top and bottom staff notes cross over each other. While this song is simple enough that it probably won't be a big deal, it's important to keep in mind how you would like your sheet to be played.
Quote from: Th3Gavst3r on April 19, 2016, 10:16:45 AMOh crap, I see the note you made now. I've made that mistake a bunch of times myself and jumped to conclusions [emoji106]
Quote from: Th3Gavst3r on April 19, 2016, 09:16:48 AMEither you reuploaded "High Score" or that's the wrong title lol
Quote from: Tobbeh99 on April 19, 2016, 05:31:57 AMNice!
The way to go about the "double notes" is by writing a parenthesis on one of the notes, the one that shouldn't be played. I this case I'd write those around the LH notes. You can find parenthesis in the articulation tool.
Quote from: Tobbeh99 on April 18, 2016, 09:55:59 AMHere's some more feedback:
Formatting:
-The text "Arranged by gameboy..." should be bold like the composer text, I believe. Not 100% sure on this.
-The copyright/URL should be in "plain" style NOT italic.
-Maybe the title should be "Type C". That's the titles they used in smash and in some other youtube videos. I know that you probably followed the other sheets on site. But this is up for discussion.
Music:
-I really can't get why you put a ff (fortissimo) as the dynamic marking? Don't you think it's too loud? I'd suggest mf as a dynamic.
- Some articulations could improve the arrangement. I'm thinking about putting staccato markings on the quarter notes in the LH.
Some wrong notes I found when listening to it closer:
M.2: LH G# should be an A
M.4: LH G# should be A
M.10 & 12: the same as M.2 & 4
M.21: the first 4 notes should be A-C#-A-F#
..Olimar posted just before me lol.
Quote from: NocturneOfShadow on April 18, 2016, 03:53:46 AMProtip: good enough isn't good enough. If a sheet is good enough, that means it can still be improved. A sheet isn't done until you look at it and instead of saying good enough, you say "this sheet is impeccable". I still haven't learned this myself.
Quote from: PetrifiedLasagna on April 17, 2016, 11:19:24 AMSounds great, but the formatting is a little bizarre. If you cut two measures from the first line and one from all the others you would have enough to warrant a second page. Also, I would recommend a molto allegro or vivace, because the tempo is more around 144 BMP.
Also, if you are having trouble with Finale (notepad?), I wouldn't mind helping you format the sheet.
Quote from: Tobbeh99 on April 08, 2016, 03:14:25 PMY, but it won't be able to fit on 1 page if you do so. But y, maybe make it on 2 pages with better measure distribution, maybe better but idk.
Great arrangement anyways!
You could look up [THIS] first. Your sheet needs proper formatting
Also post youtube videos of the song you've submitted, makes it easier comparing.
