this is the music of Melody Town from Kirby's Epic Yarn. :)

There are chords that I'm very skeptical about...especially measure 33 and 34. I'm currently working on the dynamics because that is a little hard to tell. It's almost ready though. :) I love this music~

It sounds pretty good to me.

Oh man, Faron Woods sounds terrific. Can't wait to sit down and play it over Christmas Break! ;D

I also recently rediscovered a book of Burgmüller sheet music back in my old stuff leftover from when I took lessons. It's all very easy, but still fun to play.

Having helped out with residential education in my university's dorms for quite awhile now, I can say the best thing to do in order to have a good transition to college is to just get involved and put yourself out there in some way. I've seen too many people just be hermits in their dorm rooms and never do anything outside of classes and going home for the weekend, and then they end up leaving one or two semesters in because they didn't like the "college experience". What experience? You never did any of it!

Enjoy being a freshmen though, because I guarantee that you will never have as much free time and little responsibility as that first year. I miss it now. :(

So all this summer I spent a lot of time preparing to start on an undergraduate research project with one of the professors in the biology department at my university. I was really looking forward to it and hoped that it would give me the added edge that I'd need to get a good spot in a graduate program somewhere next year.

Then I move back into the college, get everything unpacked, squared away, then open up my email to discover that my professor had gotten seriously ill over the summer and wasn't going to be able to sponsor any research projects this fall semester. She apologized and hoped that we could find another professor that would take us on instead.

Son. of. a. BITCH. Now I have to run around all the biology faculty, beg them to take me in on such short notice and figure out what I'm going to be doing, all within the space of about a week. And I have to get applications in for grad schools, visit grad schools, and worry about all my other classes and work at the same goddamn time.

I feel like chucking something through a wall right about now. Can't really blame it on my professor, but this just happened at the worst possible time.

I just got a couple piano arrangements of To Far Away Times from Chrono Trigger. It's pretty tough, but the song is just soooooooo awesome I'm resolving to actually sit down and work on them.

I'm just happy that the wedding I was playing for is over and done with and I don't have to practice Trumpet Voluntary anymore.  :D

Music / Re: Tips for jumps in pieces?

Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of practice.

For a few songs, I've had to rehearse them to the point of memorization in order to watch my hands and do the jumps consistently (especially for my left hand, which has always been weaker for me). Once you've developed the muscle memory, it comes a lot easier.

Psh, silly music majors.

I'm taking a lot of filler in my schedule, since I've got nearly all my major requirements and general elective classes out of way already, and the only biology class I'm actually taking is undergrad research with the department. So even though my schedule in terms of credit hours is a lot lighter than previous years, I'm not really looking forward to the sheer amount of writing I'm going to need to do.

Oh well, at least I got awesome roommates this time around. :D

Quote from: Bespinben on August 03, 2011, 09:15:15 AMMy discovery of Ninsheetmusic began when I was searching ever so diligently for some piano sheet music for the Trainer Battle theme from Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow. As tribute to that occasion, I now present my very own arrangement of the piece that truly started it all for me. Enjoy!

[GB] Pokémon Red/Blue/Yellow/Green:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Trainer Battle (SOLO):
[MIDI] [PDF] [SIB]

There's a couple bits in there that have the right hand stretching too far, I think. It still looks a lot more playable than most other arrangements I've seen though.  :D

Just for the record, the actual names for the first two are Pleasure Castle and Windy and Ripply.  ;D

I've never heard of it. The only Pokemon sheet music books I've seen were for beginners.

Completed and on site

I absolutely love this song and have been looking for a sheet music version to work from for ages, but no luck anywhere else. So I was wondering if you guys might want to take a crack at it.

the only thing I hate about this is that the ending is so abrupt.

Ha ha I was just about to post that same song. I've had it on my Ipod for AGES. \m/
