Quote from: universe-X on July 02, 2010, 10:33:15 AMSMG2... finally finished Silver Stars on Cyclone and Masterpiece Speedrun... hating Fleet Glide every minute... 94 stars now...

fleet qlide was a little tough for me... you'll get through it! just wait until World S, one level there took about 45 lives away from me, so it's pretty tough (cause im usually pretty good)

Nintendo / Re: Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire Criticism

I just read through all the posts. I have some mixed feelings with R/S... because well, Blue was my first game (wayyyyy back in the day). R/S were refreshing, even to G/S, but some of the Pokémon (some of the ones you've been discussing) are just pain horrible. And Sinnoh did get boring REALLY quickly for me, though I didnt like the battle frontier changes in platinum. but i still like G/S (and their new HG/SS releases better [No 1] because of the extensive gameplay you can achieve), though R/S/E is on the mediocre side, however I loved the fact that Kanto didnt pop up (something really refreshing) but Kanto is still amazing in its own way. Contests were cool, too... not like the ones in D/P/Pt...

I can go on and on, but I wont (just to save some people from what they dont want to hear)  :D

But in Summation... R/S/E were three games that were ok

Spent about twenty-five - thirty lives so far.

And Pokemon Emerald was indeed amazing. Though it is often criticized... See my topic in the Nintendo board about Ruby and Sapphire. ;)

Sounds like a bunch of fun... and i probably spent about 10 lives on the final level, wait until you get to world S, that is gonna kill you.

And Emerald, how can it be criticized, it offered the MOST amount of gameplay in Gen III, and Battle Frontier, hello? that was my favorite part!

Ok! Thanks!!  :D I did have some problems, I just couldn't get that "perfect" note around the end in a couple of measures, ill take a look at your song and the actual game rip, and make changes accordingly!

I'll still make my own... though his is good in its own way, i just want to basically build on what he did, but in my own way from scratch! It's basically like how dahans and i both arranged Ecruteak City... kinda like that

YES! The whole Mario & Luigi series is amazing and Animal Crossing was fun (until i played about 200 hours into it)... but they refresh it with each new release (all two of them)

I'm in the middle of playing Super Mario Galaxy II right now (getting all the green stars) and I bought HeartGold, so ill start that when im done. Oh, and I can't forget about A Link to the Past for GBA.

... and Pokémon Emerald was amazing, just to put it out there

I just read through this post. ive been a long time behind the scenes person here ( just downloading and playing... back in 2008 and stuff). i am onboard in any way and I'm all for converting sheets to PDFs for all the public
We do need more uploaders, though... the more updates the public sees, the more they will be happy to find their favorite music.

Anyone just let me know what you need me to do (im kinda good with computers, so i can do a bunch of converting to PDFs if it need be)

Piano Arrangements / Re: Mailman 105's Submissions
July 01, 2010, 07:41:55 PM
im gonna say what pumpy_heart says to me. you should have a key signature for your pieces (here, im referring to bowser's castle). It is in Ab Major, from my assumptions, with change ups every which way when you get towards the end (including Gmi,Bb Maj, C Maj, Asus4, etc). By adding a key signature, it allows easy reading on the eyes (for sight readers) and tells the player what to expect.

Also, adding an 8vb on bars 6&7 should also be easier (just move the two bars an octave up and add an 8vb... thats part of the NSM submission rules)... found here

Also, I forgot to say, you should introduce yourself on the introduction forums, everyone would love to meet ya!

If anyone hasn't taken them yet, I'll take:

[NDS] Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass - Linebeck's Theme
[NDS] Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks - In Town/In the Fields - IN PROGRESS
[GBA] Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire - Route 120

Anyone say anything if they already took these!

Hi Mailman105!

Welcome to the NSM forums!

I just wanted to let you know your links are slightly broken (an extra http added in there).

Good arrangement of Maple Treeway (definitely one of my favorites from Mario Kart Wii). Everything is all good (maybe you can up the tempo for the intro a little bit... it'll make it more like the song)!

See ya around the forums  :D
