Finished Mario Party Advance today.

Still playing Superstar Saga... I'm at that Joke's End place. It was hilarious when Luigi was hypnotized then forgot about it. And now that they have Peach's spare dress, I can only imagine who'll be wearing it. lol.

The game gets better as it progresses IMO. With the other two it's funny from the start.

Those Mario and Luigi games are so much fun. Bowser's inside story was probably the easiest, but i liked Superstar Saga the best, hands down. There was so much stuff to do, even on the side and all. Wait until you face Bowletta!

I've always wanted to see Toad on Super Smash Bros... I know there's a lot of Mario characters as it is, but I think, given the right moves, Toad can really do some damage

Exactly. Plus BulbaNews has it somewhere. They may change the spelling a bit (Hoenn in Japanese was Hoen... except the o had the legato looking line on top denoting a long o sound)

My suggestions - make one for handheld. Before anyone says anything, it would be cool. Just not a lot of playability, I guess.

About Pokemon Trainer - you know how you can change colors of your people? Well, there should be five different colors for Pokemon Trainer - Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Isshu or whatever the english name is.

Some other character suggestions... get rid of Lucario AND Mewtwo. Bring in some better ones. I don't know about y'all... but I would like to play as Bowser Jr. Oh, and bring in Lubba from SMG 2. jk
Dry Bones would be very cool. Put him with Boo.

I don't know about Pokemon... keep the Pokemon Trainer, Jigglypuff, and Pikachu, obviously...

Maybe add like Eevee.. more thought later.

The final say about Ruby and Sapphire from me... it was just one of those "interim" games, between something good and something else to come that's good (im not saying Diamond and Pearl were good). R/S is like Majora's Mask... not really the best (but different). It came in between Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker (two great games, with the middle not so great)... it was basically made to make Nintendo money until they could release something great (and that is HeartGold and SoulSilver [which, suprisingly, was a remake])

I disagree. I think everyone has a different kind of nostalgia.

Dictionary definition of nostalgia:
1. a wistful desire to return in thought or in fact to a former time in one's life, to one's home or homeland, or to one's family and friends; a sentimental yearning for the happiness of a former place or time.
2. something that elicits or displays nostalgia.

There is no WRONG view of nostalgia. Just because I was born a bit after you all doesn't mean that Pokemon isn't nostalgic for me. A later gen CAN be nostalgic. It doesn't have to be the original to be nostalgic.

I agree. Its all about the person and what THEY view as nostalgia... for some people Diamond and Pearl will be nostalgic to some people, for me its Gold and Silver (and before)... people have to respect what people believe as nostalgia

not a rant! haha. i cant find one of my SPs (with Ruby inside it). I still have my Gameboy Advance somewhere as well as the Pocket (the Original was just to... old at the time). Now, I just use my micro! woo! Silver and Gold were a big deal with me and my friends. That's when Pokémon REALLY became famous where I lived. I got silver first, then gold, and lastly Crystal. I remember the colors and the changing of time was amazing (not to mention, you could play with the colors of R/B when you played in a GB color or later... always inversing them was popular Like Ctrl+Alt+Cmd+8 on a mac). I remember in yellow, it would be colorless until you reached a city, then on a GB color, the towns and cities would display the color of their city on the rooftops and such... back then, I thought that was amazing.

I find it harder to play the older ones because I love the improvements, especially the organization efforts in the pack and the sprites for the ACTUAL Pokémon!

Listening to the MIDIs are OK, but once you have the good piano voicings in finale, then you can hear it all good (and D/P does have some pretty bad music. it sounds all electronic and its the toughest stuff ive worked with, with the echos on snowpoint city, that was a PINTA, im looking forward to Sinnoh Underground, though!)

Basically the list is OK. Should we include some songs of Pokemon crystal too? Concerning the kanto arrangments, I don't think that they are necessary... There is already a RB medley!

You should edit first post in this topic with the list instead of making people download a file. Then organise it into what's done and not done and perhaps some colour coding if necessary.

And I've finished National Park from a couple of months ago.

That's what im gonna do... color coding is a must, right! Everyone working on the project will be assigned a color and just tell me what arrangements you're doing. It should be up and rolling by 20:00 UTC-8 (or 05:00 for those in Western Europe)

I disagree. Completely. Ruby is my favorite Pokemon game and always will be. I love all the other ones too except Sinnoh.

I'm sorry. Nothing anyone says will sway me. Although I played Blue, Red, and Silver, Ruby was my first Pokemon game and no one can take that away from me. 

Everybody has what they like, and what they started out with. I played Ruby and Sapphire cause there was nothing really else to do (so it kind of stuck on me).

I've never been an advocate of new pokémon (the first 252 were enough for me)... but that adds to the new game features coming out with each generation. I did like the graphics update for the gameboy advance better, though it still wasn't my favorite (firered and leafgreen have the best for Gen III). I did like the new addons to the generation and Hoenn (and the storyline) but just in general the game didn't "click" with me as it did you! i'll still play it on occasion, but my heart belongs to heartgold and the originals (haha)

Oh, why oh why do all the good stuff happen when I'm away for one little week? Your arrangements sound fantastic, and I'd love to lay them one day. Really great stuff, there. Do you take requests as well?

It's a lot higher than the G/S version, so much that the bass goes above the main melody, I think. In other words, you'd have to play the main melody with the left hand.

I love it when there's a melody in the left hand! if you go onto my first page, look down at my "up and coming" list. feel free to request (as you did above) but i'm working on a bunch of songs from Pokémon Diamond and Pearl (I think you requested one or two). I'll put Dark Cave on the list!
