Quote from: SuperFireKirby on May 15, 2012, 08:41:46 PMJust a question for you guys... is it weird to date someone with the same name as a sibling?

Thing is, one of my friends is awesome and I'd love to ask her out. She's funny, smart, cute, amazing musician, overall awesome. And she has the same name as my sister. It just seems to me like it'd be kind of...strange. Thoughts?

That shouldn't even be a factor in your relationship.  Go for it.

You jump to conclusions way too early and for indefinite and improbable reason.

Quote from: FluteNinja on May 14, 2012, 07:10:33 PMThe shield wasn't dented but when the aliens shot his shield it got all scratched up.
What?  I didn't notice that.  That would indeed be strange.  I thought his shield was indestructible...
Quote from: FluteNinja on May 14, 2012, 07:10:33 PMAnd who was the guy talking to the alien leader at the end scene after the credits?
The alien Loki made a deal with was talking to his master.

Wrist technique is important for arpeggios and scales, that's all.  You don't need to concentrate on your wrist - you just need to relax it, and you'll do the right motions naturally.
Quote from: SuperFireKirby on May 12, 2012, 07:46:58 PMYou do want to keep them relaxed though, mostly to avoid injuring them. Having screwed up wrists sucks, trust me.
I used to have a really stiff wrist.  Luckily for me I managed to change my technique before I got injured, but I still got injured anyway.  Currently my third finger right hand is injured, and I have to play one hand pieces for 3 weeks, then 9 finger pieces for the next three weeks...

Quote from: Cobraroll on May 14, 2012, 12:04:32 AMwhile Thor might be badass in the mythology, he is neither the strongest fighter nor the god of war. Nobody show Heimdall and Tyr any respect...
My thoughts too  They portrayed him as an equal to the other Avengers, whose man-made technology seems to be equal to those of a magical god.  I understand if Captain America's shield can deflect Mjölnir, but I think it should at least have been capable of breaking the glass cage without too much effort.  I thought both he and the hammer were magical?

He seemed to have the same strength as the Hulk, but less durability, though he makes up with that in being able to summon lightning.

Captain America was portrayed as being slightly weaker than the other Avengers in terms of intelligence, strength and combat experience.  He was easily tossed around by Loki, and even when Iron Man came to help, the captain looked kind of useless.

I think Hulk was a bit overpowered.  There were like 30 aliens simultaneously auto-firing at him and he wasn't harmed the slightest bit, just overwhelmed in terms of movement.

Wasn't Nick Fury shot twice, and he didn't die?

Also, after Thor fell it looked like he became unworthy to wield his hammer for a moment.  He opened his hand as if calling his hammer but Mjölnir didn't come.   I wonder how he regained control so quick, and without doing much physically.

Quote from: SlowPokemon on May 12, 2012, 11:52:04 AMadd expression where I see fit...
How do you add expression?  By manipulating the way you strike the keys, which is what I was talking about.
Quote from: SlowPokemon on May 12, 2012, 11:52:04 AMand as for wrist movement, no... in my opinion that doesn't matter much
If you feel wrist movement isn't important, you should at least relax your wrist.  However since both of these concepts are near impossible to explain with words alone, if anyone ever talks to you about them make sure you listen, because they're very important.

Has your teacher taught you the concept of the finger going into the key fast, but shallow/light?  Or alternatively, wrist movement?
