@blueflower Not yet, but my 3 first bd-wishes are "Money", "Wii U (black)" and "Money to buy a Wii U" ^^
I planned on waiting for a Rayman Legends-pack, but Ubi sux sometimes

@mkds As far as I know, MKDS belongs to the older DS-games and then I can't connect to the internet with it. I'm not going back to WEP-encryption just 'cause my DS demands it D:

Gonna wish for my childhood to stop being killed, buried, dug up, revived and then killed again aka. Spyro The Dragon 4. So no beat 'em ups or random toy-collectors, just a pure platforming-experience that was so excellent on the PS1 until it was ruined on the next-gen consoles

Nintendo-games? F-zero needs a sequel, Earthbound needs more hippie-slapping, Monolith's new game, Smash Bros. 4, Zelda is a system-seller, Pokemon will never happen on a home-console (spin-offs/xd/stadium not counted)

lemme see...
Borderlands 2, NHL09, Pokemon Diamond, Tetris DS, SSBB, Dishonored, SA:MP, Shootmania (it's in open beta right now), Scribblenauts Unlimited, Bastion, Croc: Legend of the Gobbos, SSBM, Mario Kart DS and probably some other random games

I am not a man that plays only one game at a time (unless it's one heck of a great game. Last time that happened was with Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story)

ugh...not worth it

Anyhow, hi again guys. Was awhile since I last showed up, but I'll try to avoid going on a bumping spree (unless I need to remind certain guys about certain topics)

EDIT: Oh well, since noone posted in this topic before I was done, I might as well say that I checked all 41 pages (titles at least), and there were mostly spam like always ^^
See you again, and I'll probably mess up Fingerz' times in MK7, just because

Quote from: Cobraroll on November 11, 2012, 03:11:53 AMI think the Pokémon Centers and Marts are funded by fees and taxing.

A Poké Dollar is worth next to nothing. You need a million of them just to buy a bicycle. Just the wage for the nurses and Poké Mart clerks must be in the hundreds of millions per year, way more money than you will ever see in the games.

So, who pays this kind of money so trainers can have their adventure? My guess, the trainers themselves. And, of course, sponsors. At the beginning of the journey, I guess your mother and the regional Pokémon professor shell out a bit for registration, insurance, such things. After all, it's your tenth birthday, you've shown interest in Pokémon for years, and have expressed a desire for being a Trainer since you learned to speak. They see potential in you.

You leave your home town and fight trainers. The losing trainer in a battle has to pay a certain amount of money to the winner. However, as you'll see throughout the games, you end up giving out way more money when you lose, than you get when you win. Isn't that unfair? No, the opposing trainers lose as much too. However, most of it goes into funding your adventure. Somebody have to pay for Poké Center usage and subsidized items. As you're a registered Adventurer, you get these services for free or dirt cheap, but you still have to pay a small tax whenever money is transferred to you. And as you notice, you won't see much to the money you're paid for things you sell, either. Nuggets, for instance, are probably worth way more than p5000, but the remaining sum goes to the governing body.

Later on, you're shown to beat Gym Leaders. You appear on TV. You're fighting crime, participating in Contests or Musicals, or even in movies. You never notice it in-game, but sponsors donate quite a bit to fund your adventuring after a while. There's a reason why your mother doesn't have to leave the house, you know. As long as you continue being a public figure, nice to the people you meet and dutiful to the mission given to you by the Pokémon Professor, they will pay the monthly fees for your unlimited Poké Center usage, and you will still pay Adventurer's prices in the shops. At the point of your challenge of the Elite Four, even the insurance company will probably pay you more than you ever pay them. Your mom and the professor take care of the paperwork, and perhaps you'll end up quite rich later on. After all, all the time of your adventure, you're underage. You're allowed to keep a maximum amount of Poké Dollars on your person. There is big money in your adventure, but at the moment, it shouldn't be your primary concern. The games omit all that because they show the world through the eyes of a kid. Of course he wouldn't pay much attention to the economy.
I watched The Truman Show yesterday and this reminds me way too much of it

Gaming / Re: Games That Make You Cry
November 11, 2012, 07:42:15 AM
Every game in Spyro franchise that didn't appear on the PS1 makes me cry on the inside...and that ain't positive

I normally don't cry over games, but they can make me sad at least. Most RPGs that let a character I like die makes me sad

another month, another post

After hearing you guys go on about the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon-games for so long, I thought I would try one after I finished Diamond.
So I'm currently playing Blue Rescue Team as Mudkip (+ Treecko). Pretty addictive game, even though it isn't without flaws (it's like playing Lufia 3 with a worse dungeon-generating system).  I'm currently stuck on trying to get past Moltres, and since I only got Treecko with me that gets 1-hit'd every single time, it's going to take awhile.

What else? Well, I just beat the Land of the Livid Dead in Rayman Origins. One of the best platformers I've ever played!
NHL09, SSBBrawl, GTA:San Andreas, Mario Kart DS, Borderlands 2 (lvl 45 (I think) Assassin) and some other games I stumble upon. I also plan on finishing the last 2 worlds in DKCR since I got it back from my brother

Why? Not saying that I think it should be implemented on an outdated site (which hopefully will be updated one day), but I mostly wonder why

Quote from: Olimar12345 on October 09, 2012, 06:46:49 PMI recently reclaimed my childhood and beat the original Rayman.
^I got Rayman 1 + Gold (got both due to soundproblem on Gold) loaded on my computer, just waiting to be replayed (got busy with Borderlands 1&2)

Else I finished Kirby: Squeak Squad 100% 2-3 days ago. Really fun game actually. I especially liked it since it was more like the old games, too many weird Kirby-games on the DS (Mass Attack, Canvas Curse etc.)
I currently made my first try on the Elite Four in Pokemon Diamond now. Got beaten by Bertha (or what she's called) on her last Pokemon. I'm still kinda under-leveled ._.
When I'm done with Diamond, I'll probably take a small break and then start on Black or White

I doubt that I'll fully learn the song (at least not at my current level, I'm a quitter). I haven't even been home enough to start looking more at it
