Of course...it's supposed to cover the nation :D

I'm not sure if you're familiar with the Gary Oak 4chan stuff (me neither, I just found the stuff through google), but here are a few more relating to Gary.

Quote from: SuperFireKirby on June 30, 2010, 01:35:41 PMA RIVER HAS FORMED IN MY BACKYARD. I'm not talking about some run-of-the-mill sissy stream. I'M TALKING ABOUT A FULL BLOWN RIVER. THERES'S EVEN A TINY WATERFALL.

Quote from: universe-X on June 30, 2010, 01:07:39 PMTexas weather is so bipolar. It's cloudy on my way to karate. It's a 1.25 hour class. In that time, it almost looks like a hurricane outside. In the last, like, 30 minutes, it calms down. Next thing you know, it's a great sunset...

If it starts snowing, I'll go crazy.

So I have never heard or seen anything like this before so I'm going to need visual proof because my imagination is completely failing right now. WHAT.

Quote from: Harvest on June 30, 2010, 01:35:18 PMWas at the library for about 6 hours today.  Read about Greece, Rome, Egypt, Mesopotamia, and Medieval Japan.  Then I took out books on the Franco Prussian War and a biography of Bismarck.  Lots of info crammed into my head now..

Oh great! If you can sneak into a university library, you can find lots of unrated books about history too..:D

How were the Greeks? Did you read about a guy named Alcibiades? Quite a character. Or found out a play called "Lysistrata?" LOL. I'm turning this into a quiz now so I'll stop.

The weather actually got better last night. Too bad I spent last night mopping while my sis went out for a drive. And today I ended up carrying home my weight in groceries while she went to the beach. Something's not right here.

Aaaand now my facebook name is Rudiger thanks to some bored people hanging out on facebook in the middle of such a nice day >__>

Back onto the point of this topic.

Probably the least R rated of the bunch.

I just wanted to post these from a while ago. No particular reference to anything that happened in the previous posts.  Started as a simple misunderstanding, did not deserve this level of freaking out...but to clarify:

Best I can do without calling a professor of Japanese.

Quote from: Offkey on June 29, 2010, 03:37:50 AMMeh well, Notepad 2010 is like 7 euro, not that expensive if you plan on using it a lot, is there anything Notepad can't do which you would want it to do anyway?

Ohh, 7 euros? I haven't tried the 2010 version but the 2008 version doesn't allow you to delete measures, change keys in the middle of a sheet, has only preset time signatures, has only 5 "smartshapes" (no 8va/8vb, only glissando, decrescendo, crescendo tools, line tool and slurs). There's more things I can see, but those are the things that annoy me the most.

I don't think he'd be able to stay away  :D

And you've basically said the things he might be planning to do, or maybe he just wanted a new user name. There hasn't been anything I'd call real drama so it's probably nothing. But sheesh! Another new account after all those posts?

There is a link to the free version of Finale Notepad 2008 posted somewhere in the forum (you can also find it via google). It's from Finale's website and they provide a serial number. It seems too good to be true, but really this Notepad's like a "trial" software as it lacks many of the features of the paid software. Some necessary features IMO.

If you must buy a program, I suggest using google or ebay to look for a good price. If you can see this link,

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350368409726&rvr_id=&crlp=1_263602_263622&UA=WVF%3F&GUID=6339f7b31240a0e204a0ac70ffcc9757&itemid=350368409726&ff4=263602_263622

this seller is selling Allegro for a decent price. Much less than than the official website's.

That's all I can think of in terms of legal options.  And you could always ask that someone change the file type for you.

Quote from: Harvest on June 28, 2010, 12:25:52 PMSo tomorrow I'm going to the library for the entire day to try and be that intellectual I've always wanted to be.

Suggestions on what I should research?  Probably going to check out the Sumerians and then go back to my usual political stuff.

Sparta!! (Greek history)

Helot riots, gymnopaedia, military systems, social roles and relationships of men and women, marriages, etc.  Can't go through all of it in one day...it's quite interesting. You should probably look at the relationships between citizens of the same gender too. Basically makes you look again at the ancient world, that is, if you haven't heard this before.
