I've always wondered why it isn't called Ghostly Galaxy in the OST unlike other galaxies.

Anyway, I'm no expert at music, but there are some things I noticed right off the bat:

- The eighth note in the left hand on the third beat of m6 should come in a beat earlier.

- The last eighth note in the left hand in m8 should go down to the A, not back up to the E.

- The first beat of m10 should have a low A in the left hand.

- Not sure if this is incorrect, but it seems odd to me to have slurs extended over staccato notes that are followed by rests. Maybe just make the slurs connecting the notes up to the staccato and then another slur afterwards. (e.g. slur on first two right hand notes in m6, then another slur for the next two after the rest)

Also, while it's good as is, is it still impossible to weave in a few more harmonies while maintaining playability? (notably in the right hand in the second half)

Quote from: Tobbeh99 on October 15, 2015, 02:55:53 PMOk great job editing, some more stuff:

-Double barlines: remove all of them except the ones before key changes.

-dotted barlines: add some dotted barlines to show the different time signatures, in between the 14/16 and the 13/16 and in the second part in between the 13/16 and 12/16. Use the line tool to make a horizonal dotted line as a dotted barline.

-Note beaming: You got it quite right in the previous, but now there are many wrongs in the LH. You have un-beamed so many notes in the LH. Just beam the LH as the RH groups and it should be fine.

Oops! All of that happened when I changed the time sig. I'd better go change it back now. :P

Alright, finished editing.

Updated, except for the tempo. Dotted quarter? I'm not too experienced at music, but dotted eighth seems more logical to me. I'd like to see some clarification on this.

Also, I'm still not sure whether or not to call this "Examination," "Cross-Examination," or "Testimony."
#2795

I don't know if the official title is "Cross-Examination ~ Allegro 2002" or simply "Examination ~ Allegro 2002." Cross-Examination seems to make more sense, but BrawlBRSTMs3 has them all listed as just Examination.

I think the arranging itself should be for the most part okay. Not sure what to do for the visual touches and all that stuff.

As said by someone in the comments of that vid... :P
Justice for All
I keep thinking about De Killer's radio bouncing back and forth when I hear this.

Also, I just realized... The title got cut off. D:<

Help! / Re: What key/time signature is this song in?

Yeah, that's what I thought would be logical. Thanks for confirmation. The arranging itself is just about done, so I'm just cleaning it up and doing formatting and that stuff. It's not particularly hard to arrange, but the time signature is super tricky. :P

Oh, god, this switches to 26/16 (14+12) partway through.

Now this is making me wonder if I should notate this in 27/16 and 26/16, or 14/16, 13/16, and 12/16. Anyone else have an idea on which one to use?

EDIT: Or it might be 25/16. It sounded like 26, but now I come up one note short when trying to notate.

Either way, I'll be gone for a while now.

EDIT AGAIN: It goes to 25/16 (13+12)... O.o

I feel like I should actually be notating it in 14/16, 13/16, and 12/16, because they definitely sound like very distinct measures. I'd like to get other people's thoughts on this.

Huh, wasn't thinking... Yeah, 27/16 would be more logical. :P

And upon arranging... the score becomes a train wreck. O.O How should I connect the sixteenth notes together, if at all?

I never played GTI (I was extremely turned off by the lack of Pokémon), and for some reason I never played Red and Blue either. Maybe I'll get to them someday...

But Explorers just has too much nostalgia for me. The OST is amazing, the story is beautiful, and the gameplay is addictive... There isn't a single thing about the game I don't like.

No, wait, there is one thing. The dialogue is so kid-friendly at times that it just gets too cheesy. "Prepare to disappear!" Really?

Either way, I'm hyped for the new one. I'm *definitely* getting it.

Should I notate this in 14/8 and 13/8, or 14/16 and 13/16? Or another way?

Initial thoughts:

- Some of the chords you have need arpeggios, notably m4.
- In m13, the F on the first beat should hold out. Put it in a different layer. Also, in m14, there should be a tied note on the first beat from the previous measure--the melody holds out.
- Courtesy accidentals would be really nice, especially on the first beat of m4.
- Not necessary, but it seems like in a lot of sections it would be more convenient to play the left hand part with the right hand. You could change the notation to suit this, but I don't think you have to.

Hmm, not sure why the 404 came up. I made an updated link instead and put it in the OP.

Also, the Windows 64 and 32 version definitely work.

Nintendo / Nintendo Music Challenge

Well, I wasn't sure whether to put this here or in Music, but I figured I might as well put it in this board since it seems a little more active...

Anyways, I've coded a game that has you choose the origin of a music between Mario, Kirby, Pokémon, or Zelda. Relatively simple, but something I'm proud of. I'm sure you guys would be good at it. ;) There are more details in the How to Play of the actual game. The gist of it is:

- You listen to a theme from one of the four franchises
- You can choose to guess 1 of the 4 for 2 points if you get it correct
- You can choose to guess 2 of the 4 for 1 point if you get it correct
- You can choose to type in the name of the specific game for 4 points if you get it correct (the checking system is very accurate as long as you don't make any spelling errors and/or screw up the game's name). You must also enter the very FIRST game that it was in.

You can find the files here. There are versions for Windows, Mac, and Linux (although I don't know if Linux actually works).

NOTE TO MAC USERS: In order for the file to work, you need to go into System Preferences > Security and Privacy > General and choose "Allow apps downloaded from anywhere."

Since it has like 80 mp3 files, it might take a little while to download. :P Also, let me know if there are any bugs!

I'll let you guys see what that is for yourself, if you want to try it.

I also have four other similar levels too, most of which are probably sitting at around 150 stars. Unfortunately, I haven't really been in the mood lately to make any more of these...
