Off-Topic / Re: Google Chrome

acropol, google shouldn't even have the right to use the word beta, because even though gmail has been out for years, it still says that it is in beta.  so basically, never trust the word beta from google.

Off-Topic / Re: Blender 3d modeling
August 25, 2008, 01:45:39 PM
actually, i have no idea how to do any sort of lathe modeling in blender, and that's why i modeled it using the box modeling way along with subsurf (box modeling means that you start of with a simple shape and extrude and move around faces).  I know that it isn't very impressive, but it is by far my best model yet.  and btw, gamer4250, your avatar is very creepy...

Off-Topic / Blender 3d modeling
August 25, 2008, 11:19:28 AM
i haven't posted anything in a long time, so i decided to post my latest work in blender.  for those of you who remember, a few months back, i posted some of my early work in blender, the 3d modeling program, and people said that they weren't that good.  well, i've been learning a lot more and have made a model that i think is very good, even though it isn't textured yet.  please post what rating you would give it (1-10, 1=terrible, 10=best).  I hope you like it.  btw, it is a queen piece from chess.

the piece mentioned in the title doesn't exist on the site, even though there are links to it.  whenever i click on the "mus" or "midi" buttons, i get the woops! file not found error.  could someone please fix that?

Music / Re: Two chords same notes
July 19, 2008, 05:05:35 PM
generalmayo, to try and help you, think of it this way.  Even though the two chords have the same notes, depending on what key signature they are in (like c major or g major), they will sound different because of the notes before and after it.  This also applies to using those chords in different chord progressions.  And if you are still confused, a chord progression is the different chords like c major or g major that the song is based on.  Hope that helped!

Music / Found some awesome sheetmusic
July 19, 2008, 05:02:14 PM
I'm not sure if the real heliumkidd is already a member here in ninsheetmusic, but i recently found some of his youtube videos and sheetmusic, and it is very good.  His site is freewebs.com/heliumkidd, and not to be rude to anyone, but i personally like some of his arrangements better than the ones here at ninsheetmusic.  For example, his animal crossing medly and new super mario bros overworld 1 are very clean and good sounding, and sound very close to the original.  Just though i'd share this.

Off-Topic / Re: Post Your Bandwith Speed Here!

Here is my result:
How the heck do you first guys have speeds up in the 7000's?  And i have some questions about what the results mean.  First, when you say you have something like a 8 megabit connection, what does that mean?  And second, how come my results for the speed test is at 1200, yet when i download things it only downloads at 154 kilobytes a second?

Off-Topic / Re: Come see my new site!

Me and my friend created a site about the TI Nspire calculator.  This was because there are practically no sites about it, especially none with programs to download.  We thought that by making this site, we could build up the nspire community.  and i put the video game section in the forum because i wanted to, just like the one that is here, even though this is a music site.

Me and my friend are working on our website, and it is mostly finished now.  it is at lafacroft.x10hosting.com, so go and check it out, and sign up for the forums.  just remember that on the forums, there is no swearing or inappropriate language.
