Oi, what's wrong with a snowless winter? Ain't nothing wrong with that!

One of the things that Climate Change will do is what's known as shifting boundaries. So at the moment the world has it's climatic systems and has general areas which have their distinct weather patterns. What CC will do is it will change these boundaries. So where I live will get hotter and drier, whereas Germany will get lots more rain and France will get hotter and drier as well. So this may not necessarily mean that you will have snowless winters, but you might have wetter summers or windy winters etc.

What? Wowser has nothing to do with religion. It is generally an exclamation of surprise; an extension of "Wow!" or a way to swear without swearing.

Quote from: InsigTurtle on February 05, 2016, 09:11:06 PMSerious post.
You know, I've been thinking about this lately. Like, people by themselves tend to be alright and nice to whatever, but once they're in a group they go fucking nuts. Apparently there was this Muslim who protested at a Trump rally, who beforehand was treated nicely and politely by the people around her, but as soon as Trumpelstiltskin began to speak and the crowd began to shout, she was verbally abused etc. I don't know if this was true, but if it is, it gives me great hope for the innate goodness of individuals.

Quote from: Altissimo on February 06, 2016, 05:59:05 AMsorry to take away from the serious tone but

i have my audition in a few short hours

wish me luck
I'm sure you'll be perfect. Break a leg!

Got into Uni and got a job at a bowling place. Not too shabby.

However now that I've seen my shifts and a rough timetable, I'm beginning to regret this whole "useful member of society" thing...

Welp. I did one season and then lost the will to continue. To be honest, I don't have the motivation to finish. Take me out.

Wow, that's...wow...

It must of been terribly hard to have written that. I commend your resilience. I would offer my shoulder in sympathy, but people who are far better equipped have already offered. Nevertheless, know that here, you are always welcome and that we all wish for you only the best.

EDIT: Ninja'd by Dude. I hope people realise that I am in fact talking to Noc, and not your post. Otherwise, my message is quite overstated.

Quote from: ZeldaFan on January 21, 2016, 11:36:24 PMNow I find it annoying that "curvy" women are making this whole campaign about how they are the "real" women... I'm glad that you like your body and have confidence, that's great, but there's no need to shame or put down skinny girls like me because there's really nothing I can do about it
This actually annoys me a lot too. It's like if a woman's skinny you're "not a real woman," and if you're larger, well "no man's going to love you." There is no way to win!

Fantastic! They're both really awesome.

The only change I would make is to outline the phrasing better in the Underwater theme from 43 to 51 and from 56 to 58.

Other than that, it's a great arrangement! Excellent work!

I think slow was referring to the California sterotype of being very left wing, Tumblr-like, arty-farty and a preference for Hippie-esque behavior.
Quote from: InsigTurtle on January 11, 2016, 03:48:06 PMI'm just another guy exploring the world of art, science, Pokémon, and dank memes. The way I deal with life is to go with the flow instead of fighting the current. Nothing is going to change because of me, and I'm okay with that. Essentially, it represents my acceptance of my limits of what I can be and I can't be.
This bit in particular strikes as particularly stoner-Hippie, "like, we're all part of the same, like, system, maaaaan." From a non-American point of view, I can agree that I associate these things with California from the representation of California I have seen in texts, despite having never visited the place myself.

I thought it meant one who knows a lot of uncommon words and uses them a lot. Like if I said "The rambunctious rabble of uxorious lesbiotic women showed great tendency towards divisive discourse," I would consider myself not only pretentious but also loquacious. I think Charles Dickens, in today's context, qualifies for loquacious.

No but the song isn't clear. Do you only get ONE partridge in a pear tree on the first day, or do you get one everyday for a total of twelve? Also, what the hell am I going to do with 8/40 maids a milking and 10/30 lords a leaping? Is their purpose only to leap? Will my countless maids milk until their hands are calloused and the cows have since expelled all known liquid from their udder? How much milk do I need? What an irresponsible set of rhyming and rhythmically sonorous gifts!

I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to be nice. Debates and arguments are essential for a healthy democracy, but sunshine and butterflies keep the meadow bright. Let's try and prevent the cloud of toxicity from descending again?

Indeed. It makes me quaver in my boots. My shaking legs give me such a pain in my crotchet makes me concerned.

That was for my British music hommies.
