@dahans: Thank you! :D
@GreekGeek: Yesss it's an apple product. And amazing one at that! Anyone who has a mac should definitely look into it. OR buy Logic. It's basically GarageBand on steroids :P
@bkfan: Thanks- thats exactly the feeling I wanted to create! It's nice to see another BK fan on here btw :)
@DekuTrombonist: Aww, thanks (:
@MaestroUGC: Haha thanks- well that's not necessarily a bad thing. :P

Quote from: Brassman388 on April 27, 2010, 05:09:53 PMWhat music producing software do you use? They both sound pretty good.

I use GarageBand + Jam Packs. Thanks! :)

I saw that u-X. Thanks! :)

Also, I just wrote this one today: Night Time
This one, well- i'll just give you the description i used on YouTube: So... I don't know what really made me write this piece. I was up late, tired and... well I don't know. I just decided to start playing. I played whatever was in my head at the time- and this is what I ended up with in the end. It struck me as a song that would be suited very well for "Viva Piñata", so that's what I classify it as. It's a pretty calm piece with not a lot going on. I hope you all enjoy it :)

Thanks! Haha well the marimba is a signature instrument used in Banjo songs, so it's kind of an essential. Also, yeah- they sounds I use are really HQ, along with the program itself.

Quote from: mantis985 on April 26, 2010, 07:50:11 PMAnd I had jazz band tour last week.  We went to Virginia Beach, took first place with the compettion's first ever perfect score.  Great way to end my senior year!

Aren't you lucky! Ugh, our school is just not doing well this year. Marching Band went from being California State Champions and placing 1st place at every competition, to placing below 10th at every competition. Jazz Band fell apart because our regular instructor was forced to resign. Our Drumline was kicking ass for the longest time (we kept placing 3rd out of 30-40 drumlines at almost every competition), and at our prelims show (which was our best run of our show, by the way)- the judges decide we're not good enough to go to finals and don't let us go. Funny, because the SAME THING happened with our Colorguard a few weeks later. They were so good, they were bumped up a division and placed 1st or 2nd in their new division. I'm thinking, "Politics, much?!"

Good thing I'm a junior- I have a year left for our school to redeem itself :P

Compostions. Aside from the recaps of original banjo songs.

Awww, sorry to hear that buddy =/

Anyway, on another topic... is anyone here in Drumline? I keep trying to talk about it with other people who may be in Drumline, but I seem to be alone on this one :P

So here's a few of my newest songs! I'll post a description of them too- they're all for a Banjo-Kazooie Fan Game in the making:

Sand Jungle Galaxy
So when I wrote this piece, I wasn't even thinking of Super Mario Galaxy. What I pictured was some fictional game that was playing in my head... the setting was a jungle type area with a tribe within it. I basically took that idea and went from there. I finished the piece, and I liked it a lot, but I thought to myself, "I want to put a label on this so people have a bit more of an understanding on the type of environment this world would be". The first thing that came to mind was Super Mario Galaxy, because of the fact that the music in that game is so flexible. So I slapped on the title, "Sand Jungle Galaxy". The idea is a galaxy that contains both Jungle and Desert (as the music makes clear).

Night Time
So...

Honeybee Mountain
Here's the tune for the opening world- Honeybee Mountain. I included both the day and night time tunes. The day time is an upbeat, swing piece; The night time variation is a more calm, orchestral song.

Eukaryotopia (yoo-carry-oh-topia)
Here's a pretty unique world- a whole world based inside of an animal cell. We combined the scientific name for an animal cell "Eukaryote" (yoo-carry-oh-t) with the word "Utopia" to produce the world: Eukaryotopia (yoo-carry-oh-topia). Good luck pronouncing it!

Hey everyone! Lots of you may remember me as "B-Kpianist". If so, hi again! If not, then here's some basic info:

Username: ThatOneComposer
Age: 16
Sex: Male
Musical Background: Composer, Arranger, Performer (Saxophone, Piano and Mallets)
Musical Inspirations: Grant Kirkhope, Robin Beanland, Danny Elfman, Koji Kondo, Randy Newman, Thomas Newman

I submitted a lot of arrangements here a long time ago- but I sort of got tired of the limitations of arranging and decided to give composing a go. Turns out that I really enjoy it! If you guys are interested, I started a thread with my compositions in them. Glad to be back :)
