Antinomy of Common Flowers' OST hasn't come out yet I don't think (very soon though), so I haven't bothered to take a listen, besides the final boss theme and a few other songs (Sleep Sheep Parade is good).

I am very upset over the Odyssey one though... I could've won with that...

Also you gave me the right score, but forgot to mention that I also got #20.

Quote from: Latios212 on April 13, 2018, 09:04:14 PMErr, grace note lines are still amiss. We can edit that in for you if you want.
Oops. Should be fixed now.

Quote from: Latios212 on April 13, 2018, 09:04:14 PM- Omit the G# in piano 2 m. 33 RH? It's a slight stretch, and piano 1 already has that note.
Done.

Quote from: Latios212 on April 13, 2018, 09:04:14 PM- I'd suggest a clef change for piano 1's right hand from measure 37 to 45.
I'm going to assume you meant left hand. Done.

Quote from: Latios212 on April 13, 2018, 09:04:14 PM- Measure 39-40 are fine to emphasize, but I'm not much a fan of the octave tripling in piano 1 - it feels a bit out of place to me. Would you be willing to try something else there?
I definitely see what you mean. The clef change emphasises this point too lol. Unfortunately my brain is kinda fried, so I'm not sure what to do there right now. Feel free to offer suggestions. I'll be sure to change it.

Thanks.

As it turns out I have no idea what I'm doing. Then again I've never had any idea of what I'm doing, so whatever I did is probably the usual bunch of errors... multiplied by 7.

Files updated with edits of the accompaniment lines for the final section.

can't delete for inactivity if there's still a bit of activity

Updated the files with a version that includes Mael's bassline (which managed to not be there before oops).

I still have school right now, but next week I'll be free-ish, so I'll work on it more then.

Quote from: Hogwarts007 on March 28, 2018, 09:53:25 AMI'm getting the tempo to be about 118, your arrangement lags a few clicks behind the actual song, also, you're missing a large section of the song (1:01-1:28 in the video I attached) also, I'd recommend using a repeat sign at the end to where the song loops. And another thing, I might recommend making the measures shorter (half note=118 instead of quarter note=118) so that it isn't a jumble of sixteenth notes- that would be hard to read for a piano player trying to play this. If you were to do that, it would look something like this:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/yy5tataarqezru0/Screenshot%20%282%29.png?dl=0
More on this point, essentially you should double the note values, increasing the BPM to quarter note=235 or so (so half note=118, as said above). There's actually slight swing in this, and it's highly unlikely that this would be 16th note swing.

Also I'd check over your entire LH, notably the first section, where the chord progression just flat out isn't there because of obvious copy-paste.

On further inspection (which I somehow didn't do earlier), I noticed that you're missing a great chunk of the song (at least, in the MUS file) which starts at 1:00. Combined with missing harmonies, poor beaming and what was mentioned above, I don't know if this is acceptable for submissions right now.

Question: Why does it go to "https://store.makemusic.com/Downloads/Default.aspx", instead of something sensible, like:

Quote from: Maelstrom on March 17, 2018, 12:17:55 PMI think the bassline doesn't capture the oomph of the original. If you're ok with that, it's your arrangement.
That's fair enough I guess.

Quote from: Maelstrom on March 17, 2018, 12:17:55 PMHowever, I think it might be better if it was something like this:

What do you think?
Ah M.9-16. With that section (and the similar one at the end), I intentionally made it less loud and bouncy taking the whole piece into consideration. Without it, there's not enough of the contrast present in the original imo.
I still had a listen to what you offered regardless, but it seems awfully difficult, and there's too much clutter in the bass (just a personal thing, other people quite like that). Typically I wouldn't pair mezzoforte with staccato'd 4-note chords in the bass.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway.
