I've looked around for awhile and noticed that I can't actually find any sheet music for any of the songs in the Danganronpa series (aside for the animation's own music). There aren't really too many songs I'm super interested in but I always wanted to try playing Mr. Monokuma's Extracurricular Lesson. The series has been released only on the PS handheld consoles, but I was still curious to see if anyone was interested.

There are two main versions that I could find and while the main difference is in quality, I think there may have been some other slight changes?

The original version also appeared in the second game and I can't really tell any differences between them so:

As for the other main version, this one seems to have a much higher quality, though I feel like (aside from making the different parts more distinct) there are a couple minor other differences.

Help! / Finale Notepad 2012 Crash
September 18, 2014, 12:19:23 AM
I was working on a lot of music in Finale Notepad (2012), when it crashed. I tried reopening it again since it usually has a feature that restores documents that were open right prior to a crash, but instead it didn't come up and instead I've got to go all the way back to near the beginning.

Does anyone have any insight as to what happened and if there's any possible way to recover what was lost?

I'd like to request some songs from the second Paper Mario. I was looking for some, but it turned out they were unavailable so I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in arranging these pieces. I don't particularly expect all of these songs to be arranged, but it'd be really cool to see some of them.

I'm organize the songs by color in terms of what I feel would be the best to arrange (or in some cases I'd especially like to see arranged).
High-priority
Med-priority
Low-priority

"Palace of Shadow"
"Riddle Tower"
"Deeper into the Shadows"
"Shadow Queen's Theme"
"Shadow Peach Battle"
"Invincible Shadow Queen Battle"
"Return to Mushroom Kingdom"
"Farewell Rogueport"
"Last Look at Rogueport"
"Credits"

I realize that I marked a considerable amount of them red, however I feel that these are very important songs and are likely to be easier to arrange than others.

I do consider those in orange to be rather important as well, although I either believe they either aren't as important or are more difficult to arrange.

As for "Shadow Peach Battle", I included it as it was mentioned as a possible replacement arrangement in the Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door arrangement project and would normally be considered an important song. However, it is nearly redundant as an earlier version is already on the site.

I once arranged here, but quit a long time ago. However, I'm choosing to return here if only for awhile to allow links to Kingdom Hearts arrangements I worked on quite awhile ago for Ichigo's Sheet Music to become available here.

Do note that most- if not all -of the time, the sheets will give credit to collaborators from Ichigo's (often through a member called Silvertitan) because we constantly worked as a team to produce these arrangements. They would arrange extremely accurate MIDIs of the songs in multiple instruments and through the use of PDFs they provided me with, I arrange the songs for a single piano. As a result, these arrangements are the works of our combined efforts.

Key
SP Arrangement- Single Piano Arrangement
Requires Editing- On these pieces, I'm most certainly accepting help in fixing these as there are small sections of each of these that need to be updated.

Off-Topic / R.I.P.: Steve Jobs
October 05, 2011, 08:33:00 PM
I'll admit: I never once bought an iPad, Apple, computer, or iAnything. In fact, I never liked Apple all too much. In the early years I knew them, their computers seemed clunky and in the more recent? Well, over-rated.

But that has no affect on the true cold facts. Apple, along with the man who helped create the company, influenced the world we know today. It helped shape society as we know it.

And Steve Jobs? Well, even though he was far from the best guy in the world, he was certainly vital. He helped create the company. Competing directly with Microsoft right at the outset of the computer world, he innovated and helped stretch technology beyond its limits. It is essentially like telling the Nintendo community that Shigeru Miyamoto died (he has not). That is how great an impact he has had.

Rest In Peace, Steve Jobs.

Off-Topic / R.I.P Piano Teacher
July 12, 2011, 08:04:04 PM
Last week, my old piano teacher (no names mentioned), passed away just last week. I had played piano since I was maybe seven under her instruction, stopped taking lessons at maybe thirteen, and still play the piano for my personal joy (mostly video game songs of course).

She was a brilliant teacher, and she knew how to really connect with her students when she was teaching. We would talk about our lives with her, get us feeling better when we were down, and really encourage us when we didn't think we were playing a song so well. She would provide actual constructive criticism when we were working on learning how to play a song, and help us really learn how to improve our work. On holidays, such as Christmas and Mardi Gras, we would attend small parties she planned for her students each year too. :giggle: The King Cakes were always delicious.

However, she was very old and sick, and she passed away last week. So may my (AWESOME) piano teacher rest in peace.

NinSheetMusic Archives from the days of NinSheetMusic.net

By looking way, way back using archive.org (really a shocking and amazing tool, I must tell you!), I have found that you can still access pages that show what NinSheetMusic used to look like and traverse through those pages for the day those 'snapshots' were taken.

It's really an interesting tool for looking back over history. One thing I noticed most especially was the fact that NSM actually had a Wii Month, in which they changed the scheme of their pages and put a WiiMote in their logo! Wouldn't it be interesting to see NSM celebrate things like that again, and change up the banner every so often to celebrate Nintendo or video game-related events?

Well, here's to looking at the past! ;D

Off-Topic / NinSheetMusic Role-Playing Game

Dear members of NinSheetMusic,

Six years ago, on April 14th, 2005, three members of NinSheetMusic, Aquanistic, Darth Makar, and LinkFreak (later replaced by JaMaHa, NinSheetMusic's current administrator) banded together and created what was to be called Nintendo Sheet Music Role-Playing Game (more commonly known to its own members as NSM or NSM RPG; its original home site can be found here and the forums themselves can be found here), a forum-based Zelda RPG for fans of the legendary video game series in which they could role-play as canon characters from the game series or even as their own original characters.

Although NSM RPG originally started off small it very quickly grew to high numbers in the first year alone; often it was impossible to find less than ten active members (of over 73) on at a time. Unfortunately, shortly after NSM RPG's second anniversary, in the summer of 2007, member numbers dropped drastically for unknown reasons, leaving the entire active member count in the teen to twenty range. Sadly, the activity began to grow worse and worse until all that remained were approximately eight active members, some new, some veterans from the very start of the RPG.

In the same year that activity began to fall, I joined NSM under the username Daphne Nohansen Hyrule (later Captain Barbossa due to password issues), clueless at the time as to what an ‘RPG’ was. Thankfully, I quickly learned, and even more quickly grew to love NSM RPG as a game and as a whole community.

From my first days as a member of NinSheetMusic Role-Playing Game, I grew further and further dedicated to the forum that I had joined. Even after I was enraged by the staff several times, I found that I just couldn’t leave the site. Eventually, I was admitted into the RPG’s staff as a moderator. I was offered the position of administrator once, but even with my dedication, I held back so that I could focus on school.

NSM RPG has passed through nine chapters (or overlaying arcs that dictate major storylines) and is on its tenth chapter now. Three full sets of staffs took their turns, leading NSM RPG through four years of incredibly low activity.

However, as of the sixth anniversary of NSM RPG, the staff of the role-playing game announced that an entirely new staff system in order to resolve numerous issues that arose between members often. Soon after, voting for an entirely new staff opened, and on the first anniversary of NSM RPG’s tenth chapter (its longest yet to date) the new staff was revealed, and I found myself with the position of administrator.

As the administrator of NSM RPG, I have provided several improvements to the site (such as restoring the forum’s affiliate box that links to NinSheetMusic), and now I am seeking to raise the number of members we have. Though I do not anticipate on restoring their numbers to what they once were, it is in fact my goal. I sincerely hope that you will really look at NSM RPG, and perhaps join our role-playing community.

Thank you so much for reading,
NasiDe/Ganondorf

I honestly don't know how long I'll stay this time. Last time I vanished because my submission post began to break when I tried to edit and I got fed up with it. I'll try again, but, like I said, I don't know how long I'll be here. Sorry if I'm still using the trial version of 2008. :P Word of warning, this post is having the same problem. I may end up only putting up one song at a time, letting them get approved in the same fashion ir something.

Off-Topic / Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to any and all who celebrate this holiday today.

On a similar note, as a moderator of NSM RPG, the role-playing game would like to wish NinSheet Music, its mother site, a very happy Mother's Day. We hope that the site prospers well. 8)

I don't think that this really fits anywhere else. . .But if it does the staff could move it. :P

NSMRPG, NSM's Zelda RPG, is still up although they lost their domain so they are at: z10.invisionfree.com/nsmrpg
Here is a link: NSMRPG

The current admins there are SSBB Fanboy, DornKoon, Sesshomaru, and Phonton, although, admittedly, Dorn and SSBB are much more active. Their current moderator is D.
