Title: Dusk's Compositions and Arrangements
Post by: Dusk on May 30, 2012, 08:26:02 AM
Here is a composition I've made two years ago. I have not made a midi, because all guitar midi sounds sounds bad.

Composition:

"Sapphire" (for guitar)
[ZIP] (https://dl.dropbox.com/s/sp126mdxskg9nn5/Sapphire.zip?dl=1) [PDF] (https://dl.dropbox.com/s/99njj2tc6cbcfdv/Sapphire.pdf) [MP3] (https://dl.dropbox.com/s/zvz8d223p69uod9/Sapphire.mp3)

I have composed even more pieces ;D, but I would not like to upload them on the Internet.

Arragements:

NEW "Cycling" (for guitar trio)
[ZIP] (https://dl.dropbox.com/s/gfmhy2aznnf6lde/Cycling.zip?dl=1) [PDF] (https://dl.dropbox.com/s/nt9m6dkts8mtw44/Cycling.pdf) [MP3] (https://dl.dropbox.com/s/bl9rx7ttawu5xgm/Cycling.mp3) [Original] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnoPpMfaqdw)
"Bubbles Shining Over the Sea" / "On the Beach at Dusk" (for guitar)

Is there nobody who would like to say something about my compositions? :'(

I would say something, but don't know enough about classical guitar to know what I'm reading. =/
A midi would be most helpful, even the shit Finale one.

Well, it looks impressive, but, like pumpy_heart said, it would be nice to have something to hear. I don't know how many people here play guitar anyway.

And the one I have is missing strings and reading real music is something that's currently... undeveloped. XD

I play guitar well, and I liked the ''Sapphire''.

EDIT: Just finished playing that. Pretty good piece of music.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nYXhoYmzmk played by myself on my trusty acoustic.
Example of my work that I made to Bespinben, 'cause he has done so much for me.

I'll make an mp3 of "Sapphire", when I have time.

That's too bad, cause I would like to hear more by you.

Ok, I'll take my guitar and stop playing only when I composed a new piece. ;D

Was a nice piece to listen to. I enjoyed the recording!
One thing I would work on is having unity in your piece. From the outset, I hear a number of possible motifs, but they all but disappear by the end, or so it seems. This could work in your favor, and I think it does keep the piece interesting. It's also possible I missed the unifying theme. But it almost seemed as if each section was its own.

I have not an idea for a new peace, but I made an arrangement from PMD2 for guitar:

"Bubbles Shining Over the Sea" / "On the Beach at Dusk" (for guitar)

I would learn how to play guitar just to play this song. Absolutely fantastic.

With B's piano arrangement, of course! ;)
You should be very honored!  :P

That's awfully cocky.

And also, why are you posting that in Dusk's thread and not Besinben's? Or your "blog" for that matter?

Okay. But still, stay on topic in each thread.

And another thing.

Quote from: FSM-Reapr on August 05, 2012, 10:51:06 AMYou should be very honored
that Bespinben is taking the time to do requests for your band, not the other way around. He doesn't need to feel "honored" that you are playing his arrangement.

Gee, why are everybody so serious around here?! IT WAS A JOKE!!!

And I did offer him money but he declined. *respect*

And I forgot to say Dusk: Great job, your arrangement is VERY well done, you should keep doing your guitar arrangements!  :D

My gosh. That is the most beautiful thing I've heard in a LONG time. I didn't think it was possible to make an already beautiful song even more beautiful. Fantastic job Dusk.

I'm working on "Cycling" from Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald.
It's my favorite song from this game. It should be a guitar trio.
I'll make an mp3 too, but it will take a while, because its very hard to play.

But sorry. :(

No problem.
I played all three parts and put all parts together :D with the disadvantage, that my computer is too slowly and record lagged :(. So I had to move all parts to their right place. >:(

It sounds good :) , but it would sound better if you'd have better strings in your guitar. Anyways, you did splendid job!

The strings are good, but I have to change them ;D. They are one or two years on this guitar and are very "knackered played" (don't know, how to translate this word. I think you know what I mean. ;))

Title: Re: Dusk's Compositions and Arrangements
Post by: Dusk on September 30, 2012, 11:17:23 AM
It is possible. ;)
But can you explain me, why do all people want zip files lately, please? ???
Title: Re: Dusk's Compositions and Arrangements
Post by: FSM-Reapr on September 30, 2012, 12:08:58 PM
I personally find it MUCH more easier to download the Zip rather then go search this forum for PDF and MIDI. I like keeping things organized, rather than search each individual pieces.
Title: Re: Dusk's Compositions and Arrangements
Post by: Zunawe on September 30, 2012, 06:09:59 PM
I kept all my files in the same place next to the song title so that if people want the MIDI, they don't have to download the PDF and MUS too. Just put all the files you have in the same line or section if you don't like ZIPs. Also, if you use a ZIP you have to open a PDF reader to read the PDF, but Dropbox automatically opens PDFs in a window if there's a direct link.
