Title: Need help with assignment of dynamics

Right now, I'm trying to convert my "Kanto Wild PokÃ©mon Battle" piano duet arrangement into .mus. The problem is that whenever I place a dynamic marking on one stave, Finale applies that dynamic marking for ALL the staves. I need it so that I can have one hand playing a line fortissimo while the other plays mezzo-forte, if you understand, but Finale won't let me, as far as I know. How would I go about applying separate dynamics? Please help.
