I have a bunch that I like
super mario 64
star fox 64
pokemon stadium
army men air combat
the legend of zelda ocarina of time and majoras mask
banjo kazooie
doctor mario 64
donkey kong 64
Get-N-or get out
LoZ: OoT and Kirby 64. nuff said
I have never played a kirby game before. and OoT FTW
Banjo Kazooie/Tooie are the greatest games on the N64
No exceptions.
DK64 comes close though.
Rayman 2 was right behind Banjo Kazooie though. Super Mario 64 was also a great game.
Banjo Kazooie/Tooie
Pokémon Stadium 1/2
Kirby 64
Donkey Kong 64
Zelda OoT/MM
Jet Force Gemini
and other games.
The only ones I've played are Oot and SM64. And those weren't even on the actual Nintendo 64!
Pokemon Snap - Pokemon Puzzle League - Paper Mario - Majora's Mask.
Yep.
Probably Diddy Kong Racing, or the Stadium games. SM64 pisses me off too much. XD
Hey, You! Pikachu was pretty great too.
I liked Jetforce gemini and Body Harvest.
Pokemon Stadium Games
Hey, You! Pikachu
Pokemon Snap
Mario Party Games
OoT ftw
Mario Kart 64
...Smash Bros.
Heck, I'm still playing OoT. When I was little, I usually just watched my brothers play it. But even then it was still awesome.
Super Smash Bros. is a great game
You guys stole all my answers XD
...Pokémon Snap was great. I think they should make a Pokémon Snap 2 for 3DS that utilizes the gyroscope to create the effect of moving around actually taking pictures (like with the first person view in Legend of Zelda OoT 3D).

yes yes yes yes yes yes yes
Uh no, that would be horrifying. The view angle on the 3DS is dismal, so in order to use it as such you have to be holding it stiff in front of you or be seated on the ground. If you're in any moving vehicle it's literally impossible to use.
[only slightly bitter]

They used to have giant online petitions for a Pokemon Snap 2.... Never went anywhere :'(
Shocking, everyone knows giant online petitions generally get lots of things done!
Holly crap. New Avatar.
Well yes, but if you're not good at staying in the sweet spot, then you can just turn it to 2D mode for a little bit. But yeah, trying to swish the camera back and forth trying to get as many snaps of Pokémon as possible while staying in the 3D sweet spot would be a pain.
Looking up a folder with N64-roms
Let's see...
Paper Mario (need to finish it)
Banjo-kazooie/Tooie (need to finish them)
Conker's Bad Fur Day (funniest game ever (need to finish it))
Diddy Kong Racing (Good memories from playing it in Norway)
Donkey Kong 64 (need to finish it)
F-Zero X
Kirby 64 (need to finish it)
Ocarina of Time (need to finish it without hacks)
Majora's Mask (need to finish it)
Mario Party 2 (The little I have played of it, N64 online FTW!)
Mario Kart 64 (GCN and Wii versions was better)
Megaman 64 (It actually was really fun, but got stuck and stopped playing)
Pokemon Snap (I didn't like it really, and I don't think it will get a sequel)
Pokemon Stadium (Cousin's house)
Super Smash Bros 64 (The only one I still play frequently)
Super Mario 64 (need to finish it without hacks (I even got more than 120 stars :/))
From a guy that doesn't even own an N64. Out of principle, I don't buy games online = no Wii Shop = emulators :/
Banjo Kazooie/Tooie are definitely two of the games that I've beaten the most, and they're still fun 10 years later!
Super Mario 64 was also lots of fun, and Mario Kart 64 is my favorite in the series. It's also provided hours of endless fun playing against my friends.
Super Smash Bros is also great for multiplayer.
Honorable Mentions go to Donkey Kong 64 (I actually like collect-a-thon games) and Mario Party 3.
Uh.
I've only played two N64 games... SM64 and MK64.
And I STILL DON'T KNOW WHICH TO PICK.
I just bought the orginal Super Smash Bros. from my local classic video game store (awesome right?). That marks three times I've bought that game now :P (first was when it came out, then my family lost it somehow; second was to replace the first, but then we gave our N64 and games to my older brother and then someone broke into his apartment and stole all of it; third was yesterday for the fun of it)

Well... not really. I played OoT in the car on a long drive somewhere and never had any issues at all. It is a bit inconvenient, but really, it's not hard at all to just press start and turn off the motion controls. I would be all for a Pokemon Snap that could utilize the gyroscope, seeing as the motion could be turned off when needed.
Also, favorite N64 games:
Super Mario 64
Super Smash Bros.
Mario Kart 64
Pokemon Snap!
Pokemon Stadium (I really need to buy this game, haven't had it in forever)
I'd have to go with Rayman 2 because it was the only game during that gen to do 3D platforming right IMO. The Mario 64/Banjo Kazooie style was just not what I wanted
Finally someone else agrees, Rayman 2 is one of the best adventure games for the Nintendo 64. Even though the bosses were kind of easy, it still was really fun.
Quote from: SlowPokemon on July 20, 2011, 03:44:31 PMit's not hard at all to just press start and turn off the motion controls.
The problem is that they didn't bother working on the standard controls and your aim sensitivity is absurdly low.
^That is also true.
Also, POKEMON STADIUM GET :3

I agree, It was a nice game. Can't wait for Rayman Origins!
The N64 had the most amount of good games for me. My list is:
Super Smash Bros. - the great start to a truly awesome franchise
Banjo Kazooie/Tooie- the great platforming coupled with the humerous and well told story line make this my third favourite franchise ever.
Diddy Kong Racing - haven't played it in a while, but I remember having heaps of fun.
I remember playing Diddy Kong Racing with my Dad when I was little. Good times. Not to mention all that Smashing I did with my older brothers though XD
diddy kong racing is awesome.
oh yeah i forgot! Mario Kart 64!
I loved the track with the train in the desert.
You guys suck. Nobody played Fighting Force 64? So many memories with that.
I can't really say which one is my all-time favorite, but I do know which one is my favorite at this moment, which would be Banjo Kazooie. I just bought it, and IT'S SO FUN!!!
Have you already played it?
My list will probably be similar to a few I've seen...
LoZ OoT
Super Mario 64
Paper Mario 64
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 (Soooo awesome)
Donkey Kong 64 <3
Tony Hawk, I remember that game...its been years sense I have played it.
Oh yeah, used to play Tony Hawk on my PS1
Did anyone mention golden eye 007? That game was great!!!! I had so much fun with my friends on that game, it was one of the only games I had that could do 4 player split screen. It was so much fun.
Who needs 4-player split screen when you could have 1 whole screen with 4 players smashing each other to bits in the most ultimate video-game crossover ever? *COUGH*Super Smash Bros.*COUGH*
But yes, I did enjoy playing Goldeneye. Especially picking the dude that was really short in multiplayer XD

I was playing that the other day. I'm stuck on that Aztec level. It's DRIVING ME NUTS!!!! It's SO DAMN HARD. Even on agent.

haha, super smash bros is a really great game, but back in the day when I first got my N64 I got golden eye with it...I didn't get super smash bros until much later, unfortunatly.

The game is really hard. I had so much trouble with that game when I was little. but its so good, that was like the first fps game I ever played.

Best friends. FOR LIFE!
haha they are really good games, allthough I feel really weird having them for xbox haha
Yeah i got them on xbox, and since i love the xbox controller and they refined all the edges to hd, its amazing! But still, RARE should have stayed with Nintendo.
Yeah, I don't know the history of it. But I think RARE would have been better with nintendo...I thought that nintendo owned rare so I dont know how microsoft came to own them
Ocarina of Time.
That's the only N64 game I've played lol.
Hahaha well The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time is a great game ;) You have never played super mario 64? or star fox? you really should..But the N64 is my favorite system its the one I grew up with so you know...
I remember the good old days, playing MK64 and pwning my younger brothers on battle. ;)

I was planning to buy Mario 64 for Virtual Console but I'm too lazy when it comes to playing Wii. Mayb someday.
Well, you really should. And Star fox 64 is also on there just so you know :)
Paper Mario
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Super Mario 64
Nintendo decided to not bother buying Rare, and eventually Microsoft bought them. After a few games that didn't sell well, they became a maker of crappy avatar and kinect content. That's the history.
little late here, but I really enjoyed watching these 5 parts about rare

I generally agree with most of what other people said, (with SM64, Smash Bros., and Mario Kart 64 being three of my favorite games) but my fourth favorite game on the N64 was Mario Party 3. That's probably heavily nostalgia-based given that it was the first N64 game I can recall playing, but after playing all the Mario Parties again a couple of years ago, I can still say Mario Party 3 was my favorite. It seemed like you were never out of it and that's probably why I enjoyed Mario Party 3 the most.
My favourite game would have to be Banjo Kazooie just because of the nostalgia factor but the 64 had some fantastic games.
SM64
LoZ:OoT
Banjo Tooie
Pokemon Stadium series :)
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Super Mario 64
Starfox 64
Diddy Kong Racing
Haven't played Banjo Kazooie or Banjo Tooie in 8 years so I forget the story :P
^ what that guy said. Super Mario 64 (I still need 1 more freaking star somewhere!) is an awesome game. And I would add Majora's Mask. I would replace Diddy with Mario Kart though. I just like it better.
We all know that we secretly loved Bug's Life. ::)
Banjo-Kazooie would be my all-time favorite. Others include DK64, Pokemon Puzzle League (god, that game is so addicting), SM64, Yoshi Story (more for nostalgia than for anything) and the Stadium games. Never got around to playing any of the Zelda games, though. I might have to emulate them soon.
Super Mario 64 or Paper Mario for sure.
Quote from: FluteNinja on April 30, 2012, 07:09:37 PMThe Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Super Mario 64
Starfox 64
Diddy Kong Racing
The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask (now that I have finally played it)
And I sadly do not own Mario Kart, only Diddy Kong Racing D:
That looks better
where is the banjo kazooie and tooie?
Also, have I mentioned Pokemon Snap yet? Such a great game.
Quote from: Meta-Ridley on September 02, 2012, 02:34:21 AMwhere is the banjo kazooie and tooie?
I haven't played either of those in years. I forget the story and I lost them :(
Super Mario 64, The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, The Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Diddy Kong Racing, Pokémon Snap.
Super Mario 64 by far. Banjo Kazooie and Paper Mario come close, though.
Superman 64 ::)
Quote from: blueflower999 on November 23, 2012, 05:49:55 PMSuperman 64 ::)
That game is so awesome! You can fly through rings, and you have to do it a million times! :D Then you get to throw cars!!! That was so epic!!! It made me feel that I'm Superman!!!
Truly the game to end all games.
Wait, no, that honor belongs to E.T.
