So Melee uses a recording of the song Balloon Fight - Balloon Trip, which means this arrangement should probably be moved to its own game listing under [MUL] Balloon Fight.
Hiya, Latios called me over here. Let's see...
Quotewhat's the title of this song? you said it was Bonus Round? is there a source
This game doesn't really have an official soundtrack, but multiple OST sources call it "Bonus Round" because that's where it is used. You can watch the actual gameplay here (the song even serves the same purpose in the platformer spinoff,
Balloon Kid):
... then again, it also plays during the "Balloon Trip" game mode (in
Balloon Kid, too,) so it could be called that, too. I hate to say it, but "Main Theme" might have to work here. Reasons I'm against calling it "Balloon Fight" are A.) The main mode of the game doesn't really have a constantly playing song, B.)
Melee called it that to acknowledge the song's origin, and C.) For cases with older games, we would need a very official album list to call a song the same thing as the game's title (which is why
Undertale doesn't count. Bandcamp wasn't around in the 80s.)
Quotealso what should the console be, since it was originally released for arcade? and you labeled it NES here https://www.ninsheetmusic.org/forum/index.php?topic=9534.msg387133#msg387133
The arcade/Vs. System (
Vs. Balloon Fight) and NES version (
Balloon Fight) were developed as the same game. This is one of the few cases where the
Vs. port released first, but since the Vs. System arcade system boards were based on the NES anyway, we should label the home console version as the definitive game.
And no one talks about the Vs. ports anyway
"Balloon Trip" is the most common name given to this song, and considering it's the song that plays in the game mode of the same name, it's probably safe to assume that's the correct name. I'd agree with Gav & just put it under Balloon Fight [NES] on site - no point in having it under Melee if it's just the NES version of the song.
Levi, I love your enthusiasm about Balloon Fight & getting the correct songs in the correct spots, but there's no reason to over-complicate things.

Just as long as it's not under
Melee, I'm good with this. Latios, I've given my two cents; my work here is done.
[NES] Balloon Fight - "Balloon Trip" it shall be!
I see nothing wrong with this sheet. Looks great!

-This has come up again! I'd suggest making the repeats more explicit, so writing D.S. al Coda 2nd X or 2nd Time just to make it clear that the D.S. happens on the second repeat.
That's all I've got.
